People of Singapore
In history, Singapore was part of Malaysia, then gained its Independence as a separate country during 1965. Singapore was also a British trading post during 1819 which attracted foreign trading vessels from China, India, Indonesia and Middle East. So until this day, local Singaporeans are mostly composed of Chinese-Decent, Malay-Decent and Indian-Decent. Due to its high economy, Singapore today has attracted a lot of foreign workers ( called foreign talents ) from all over the world, but most people came from India, Bangladesh, Mainland China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and from all other countries in the South East Asia. Indeed Singapore is a multicultural city of Asia.
