Merlion Park and Singapore River

When Singapore was still a developing country way back in time, There's a river in Singapore's Central area where all trading and business thrive during those days. But today much of Singapore's Central area is a concrete jungle where Skyscrapers and Modern buildings are located. This area has a lot of attractions and sights to see.

Merlion Park  ( City Hall Station - Red / Green Line )
The Merlion Park is where the icon of Singapore is located. It is facing the open sea fronting the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Right now, there is no direct train station that stops at Merlion Park. One has to stop at City Hall Station, Raffles Place Station , or some adjacent stations near Merlion Park. Merlion Park is also near the to Fullerton Hotel, one of the oldest and grandest hotels in Singapore. When visiting Merlion Park, It will be hot during the day, but it opened at night where one can enjoy the city lights view. At the Merlion Park, you can also see most of Singapore's attractions such as the Helix Bridge, Marina Bay Sands Hotel ( Three towers with boat shaped roof ), Art Science Museum ( Flower Shaped Building ), Singapore Flyer ( Large Ferris Wheel ) and the Esplanade ( "Durian" Building )

Clark Quay ( Clark Quay Station - Purple Line )
This is where the bars, food and nightlife in Singapore is in. In here you can ride the Singapore river cruise that will take you Merlion Park and some areas within the Singapore river. You cant miss this place, because when you get of the station, a there's a "Clark Quay" sign in front.

Other Attractions
In this area, one can also visit the Esplanade, The Singapore Flyer and a food center/ hawker  Makansutra beside the Esplanade.
