Singapore is connected by train in all major districts. There are a total of around 150+ train stations all over the island. Stations with interchange is around 15+ stations. There are 5 MRT lines that operate in Singapore, these are :
East-West Line ( Green )
North-South Line ( Red )
North-East Line ( Purple )
Circle Line ( Yellow )
Downtown Line ( Blue )
For the Green line, It has terminals in Pasir Ris, Changi Airport and Joo Koon. For the Red line, It has terminals in Jurong East and Marina Bay. For the Purple Line, It has terminals in Punggol and Harborfront. For the Yellow Line, It has terminals in Dhoby Ghaut, Harbourfront and Marina Bay. For the Blue Line, It has terminals in Chinatown and Bugis.
Train ride cost
cost around 0.90 SGD to 1.2 SGD per station. One can purchase EZ link cards in any 7-Eleven stores in selected train stations. EZ link cards are used to purchase train tickets, and are re-loadable by machine or some stations has teller personnel that will "top-up" the EZ link cards.
